Aims and Scope

The Journal of Fine Arts: Architecture and Urban Planning is among the first and most prestigious scientific-research journals in Iran on the subjects of architecture and urban planning. This journal focuses on topics such as the history of architecture and urban planning, preservation and development of cultural heritage, theories and criticism of architecture and urban planning, local and global trends in architecture and urban planning, sustainable architecture and urban planning, urban environment, and landscape architecture. The journal provides a link between theory and practice for researchers and practitioners by publishing recent research findings and new and innovative practices. With an innovative and broad approach, this journal provides comprehensive coverage of research and practice in architecture and urban planning. The main goal of this journal is to expand the theories, approaches, and ideas of architecture and urban planning, produce knowledge, localize theories and concepts with respect to the antiquity and richness of Iranian architecture and urban planning, and to mainstream the science of architecture and urban planning in their various fields and trends. This journal supports the results of research and studies that are innovative, contribute to the theoretical and conceptual understanding of architecture and urban planning, present new achievements and teachings, and go beyond descriptive and repetitive research.
